I cannot talk in general, but I’ve found clear distinction between physical and computerized goods.
Online streaming services and real world cinemas are very far apart for me. When I go online to watch something, I’d focus on the movie, I would write down quotes, search for morale or enjoy special effects. When we go to see movie in a cinema, experience is entirely different: it is social activity rather than pure entertainment, we focus on each other rather than on the movie. Effectively you have distinct interests and motivators for these seemingly related activities.
Some things can’t be computerized for me. Imagine having computerized home. You can travel anywhere and stop in digital hotels, that recreate your home piece to piece as you arrive. That is awesome! Can you call that home? I would not.
Why am I writing this? Because information technology has no limits, doesn’t mean that everyone would like to use it to fulfill all their needs.
As an “aspiring entrepreneur” you may want to solve every problem in the world. Let’s say we are in a city with just one dog park. And there are dogs that cause mess, when they meet. One would create AI automation tool for smart dog walk scheduling, so that you don’t encounter unfriendly dog. But then look at this, is this really a problem you want to solve? Now every dog owner walks alone.
